The Base B0962E Kuma is a lightweight white ESD safety shoe designed for workplaces where cleanliness, comfort and control of electrostatic discharge are important. Its practical low-cut design makes it well suited to manufacturing, electronics, laboratory, healthcare and clean working environments.
Certified to S2 ESD CI FO SR, the Kuma combines a water-resistant microfibre upper with a 200-joule SlimCap safety toe, cold-insulating construction and a slip-resistant mono-density polyurethane outsole.
ESD protection for sensitive workplaces
The B0962E is suitable for use in ESD-controlled environments, helping dissipate electrostatic charge and reduce the risk of damage to sensitive electronic equipment and components.
ESD footwear should not be confused with electrically insulating footwear. It is designed to safely dissipate static electricity rather than protect the wearer from live electrical current.
Lightweight SlimCap toe protection
Base’s SlimCap toe cap provides protection against impacts of up to 200 joules while remaining lighter and less bulky than many conventional safety toe caps. Its reduced thickness provides additional room around the toes, supporting comfort throughout long working shifts.
Water-resistant microfibre upper
The smooth white microfibre upper provides resistance to water penetration and absorption while being easy to maintain. This makes the Kuma a practical option for clean workplaces where footwear needs to retain a smart, professional appearance.
Breathable, hygienic comfort
A SmellStop lining helps limit the development of odour-causing bacteria, supporting a fresher internal environment during extended wear.
The AirTech mono-density polyurethane sole provides cushioning and flexibility, while energy absorption in the heel helps reduce the impact of walking and standing on hard floors.
Slip resistance and cold insulation
The SR-rated outsole has been tested for slip resistance on ceramic surfaces using glycerine. Cold insulation helps reduce the transfer of cold through the sole, making the shoe suitable for cooler indoor working environments.
The outsole is also resistant to fuel oil and hydrocarbons.
